Just keeping a close eye on current pricing

20/02/2018

Back in the days, all RMA repairs, when the C64 went back to Commodore for repairs, the silver label was often replaced with the new rainbow label. I got one of these myself, rainbow label with KU-14194HB board with a low serial. But with some obvious repairs to the power switch.

Yesterday this one came up for auction. Low serial, older keyboard, but rainbow label. I guess there is a fair chance this is a KU-14194HB board, and therefor a silver. You can check the Commodore Registry to see in which range people registered a KU-14194HB board with rainbow label, just over the 10k!

You will never know if there has been all kind of repairs to this C64, or even a replacement of the motherboard. It is a wild guess, but considering the rest of the set, you will have a fair chance on owning a KU-14194HB board. Shame of that reset button in the casing!

22/02/2018 Bidding currently at 67 euro, two disk drives included, a lot of disks, joystick and books.
